1533 – Henry VIII of England secretly marries his second wife Anne Boleyn.

England’s King Henry VIII, Lord of Ireland and self declared King of Ireland (1541) marries Anne Boleyn after divorcing Catherine of Aragon.

Anne Boleyn got married to Henry VIII as the second wife on 25 January 1533 after she became pregnant, and later on gave birth to a baby girl named Elizabeth. She became Queen of England from 1533 to 1536. Henry’s marriage to Anne, and her subsequent execution, made her a key figure in the political and religious upheaval that was the start of the English reformation.

Photo: The caption incites many questions: Did Henry only create a new church for the pupose of getting a divorce? Was he wholly responsible for Anne’s death. Instead of weighing in myself, I want to hear your thoughts! Happy commenting!
